Newcastle City Church wedding photographer
It was lovely to be back doing some wedding photography in Newcastle city centre again!
My more recent bookings seem to have taken me more to photographing weddings in the Northumberland and Durham areas.
This was also a first at the City Church - an amazing building with a surprising history of being the old Manors power station. Louise and Mark had made some great choices for their wedding!
A vibrant mural in the entrance with a rainbow silhouette of the Newcastle city skyline - what a great backdrop!
The ceremony space itself is huge with a cathedral height ceiling. Lots of high windows make it a light and airy room.
The ceremony itself was of course a beautiful and uplifting event.
Although a quick look outside the Newcastle City Church might initially disappoint in terms of possible photo opportunities, a closer look usually surprises. Just a stone’s throw away is a remaining part of the city wall - another lovely backdrop for some individual photos as well as groups.
After the ceremony, Louise and Mark were heading to Ponteland for an intimate garden party. After some discussion beforehand about a possible photo stop-off somewhere Louise had spotted a hopeful area and we planned to stop there en route to the party. It proved a wonderfully photogenic spot and allowed us to capture some stunning wedding shots of the happy couple and Louise’s amazing dress.
And then on to the beautiful laid back Ponteland garden party…
If you have enjoyed the images and would like to book me for your own wedding or event I’d love to hear from you. Just get in touch!
